everything fit together perfectly and rather quickly...the sounds are wonderful and the ac adapter made my husband jump with joy (guys...go figure...lol) beautiful purchase, can't wait to put our baby girl in it.
I purchased this gate to keep my cats out of my dining room turned into study. I didn't want to install a door as someday I may turn it back into a formal dining room. So I looked into the idea of a child's gate. Well I ran into two problems. My doorway is 48 in wide and most gates only go up to 42 in wide. I could only find wider one's online. Which made me hesitant in case I had to return it. I also figured with cats I needed a taller gate so that they would not be tempted to jump over it. So I narrowed it down to two gates. I got turned off by the other tall/wide gate as a reviewer said if you're even slightly on the heavy side you won't fit through the door. I'm a full figured girl so I wasn't going to spend that much money and not be able to get through the door. So I took a chance on the only other one available that fit my criteria tall/wide. I'm glad I did. The door is wide enough that I can get through while carrying my laptop without a problem. YES! It's also made very sturdy and didn't take very long to set up at all. One trick though. When opening the gate you have to lift up and push, the lifting up part got me for a few minutes as there aren't instructions on how to open the gate. All in all VERY STURDY! It's also very stylish compared to those cheap plastic or wood ones. I chose the black color so it wouldn't look so much like a child's gate and I'm very pleased. I will deffinetly buy this model agail when/if I ever have some little one's of my own instead of a regular child's gate. Especially since the height makes it so much easier to open! I will recommend this model to all of my mommy friends!
If you need a swing, this is a good one. The classical music selection is nice, and the 6 speeds are good. We used 1-2 for our newborn, then upped it to 4-5 as he got older. The recline is also very nice and easy to use. 
Thanks to my sisters-in-law AppleBlossom has a Graco Classic Pooh Let's Fly a Kite Swing. It is a lifesaver! There are times when being on her back does not work, being held does not work, and tummy naps are no longer an option. When my whits-end is coming and she just is so unhappy, that is only one of the times when the swing has been so useful. Other times she is eager for it and enjoys the movement and looking around the room. Sometimes she will fall asleep in the swing and then stay out for longer naps that are fabulous for Mama time. I will scoop her up while she's out and put her down in the crib and when she wakes up she is all smiles and cooes.
We've had this since our boy was 8 months old; he's now 2 1/2. He loves this very sturdy swing--he calls it his "parachute" swing and apparently finds it comfortable, as he wants to stay in it for up to half an hour. There are very solid latches on both sides (the kind used in heavy-duty backpacks) and lots of padding in the seat. 
I was attracted to this carrier by all the rave reviews on Amazon.I like to hike, and live in a city where strollers are an inconvenience, so I thought I'd give this a try.I already have the original model, but this sounded so much better according to other reviewers.After using it for three weeks, my opinion is that this carrier is a slight improvement over the original when it comes to back support, but it's not a real carrier for truly active pursuits, and not worth the extra 90 bucks (or more) to buy it if you already have the original.
Our daughter sleeps in our bed at night but we use this during the day for naps.She doesn't usually sleep for longer than 15-30 min. during the day but when we put her in the cocoon and swing her to sleep she'll sleep for almost 2 hours!I love the natural hemp fabric and it's nice that it's gender neutral just in case we have a boy the next time around.The entire thing is really light weight and I can easily move it from room to room with one hand while I have my little girl in my other arm.We are traveling to Florida in a few weeks and I plan on taking this with us!
I bought this when my second child was born. He was 9lbs 5ozs. This swing has lots to look at when they are small but by the time my son was 15lbs (3 months) the swing really didn't work very well. The speeds were super slow. I called Fisher Price and received a new motor under warranty but it did not help. It just isn't powerful enough for a larger/heavier baby. I purchased a different old fashion swing and it works GREAT. My son is now 24lbs and this new swing still has 2 more speeds we can use!
if eames designed a baby bouncer it would look something like this. i think vibration is essential in a bouncer which is why i couldn't buy one of those sweet oeuf chairs.but this pod has it all. this is my most used baby item at the moment for my 2 1/2 month old daughter. i'm very happy with it's design and function.i don't use the hanging toys or hood. i didn't give this five stars because the vibrator seems to be getting noisier with use and sometimes is a loudish buzzing. not a huge problem, but a bit annoying. also, the music only plays one short (30 second) song per button push, which is strange. my daughter likes the chimes and we'll have to keep hitting the button so the music doesn't stop. anyway, great chair that looks good in our home.
I absolutely love this gate even though I've found 1 flaw with it.It's not the old one.I think it was called the lift & lock gate.I got this one because the old one my husband finally broke so I needed another one for the top of the stairs.All the other gates are expensive & since we have a baby and a toddler the old one wouldn't do.I went to Babies 'r Us & found this gate.It seemed perfect since our stairway is wider than most.I have to admit it was a pain to put together because I put all the screws in to hold the gate together only to find that they have to be really loose to adjust it to the right length.No problem just tighten them enough where the buttons don't fall off.It's not that hard to install the hinges if you're using the hardware mount.You don't need the templates if you have 2 people.Just lengthen the gate, slide it in the hinges then once it's against the wall have 1 person slide the gate out then the other drill them into place.Plus this gate will slide out the hinges if you want to move it somewhere else or take it with you to use it as a pressure mount.And that's where it's not a "GREAT" but still a well worth it.
The Graco Swing N' Bounce combo in Zarafa is exactly as the picture shows.The colors of the fabric are vibrant and not faded and it has a very neutral look to it.I plan to keep it in my main living area where the colors of the room are all the earth tones (browns, oranges, creams, etc.)
We received this swing over a year ago as a baby shower gift.The baby is now 15 months and she still likes to ride in it.Sometimes she sits in the swing and falls asleep in it.I really like that you can position the seat from sitting to reclining.The only complaint I have is that the "mobile" it comes with doesn't do anything.I wish it moved or was more colorful or something.Otherwise, the swing is great!The material is soft and gentle for an infant and it's light enough to move it around the house.It's grown with my baby, so far.I'm not sure what the weight limit is, but my baby is about 28 pounds now and the swing still works perfectly fine.Most importantly, baby likes it!
I was a little unsure about whether or not this gate would be worth the slightly higher price, but I'm really glad that I got it. My daughter's bedroom door sticks in the summer and I have to slam my body against it to open it and when I'm laying her down for a nap, that's just not practical. I wanted to be able to leave her door open but I didn't want our cat to be able to get into her room so I needed a gate tall enough to keep her out. Our cat gets into a lot of things and loves to be where she's not supposed to be. This gate is perfect. Right after putting it up (which only took about 5-10 minutes) she went over to the gate and tried to figure out how she could get by and gave up after a few tries. She can't fit between the bars and she definitely isn't even trying to jump over it. She jumps up onto our kitchen counters all the time, so I was worried, but I guess because its such a long drop on the other side, she's afraid to try.
I wish I had this for my daughter six years ago.Just like with my daughter, my new son (3 weeks old) doesn't like to be put down and lay flat on his back in his pack and play or crib.This sleeper is PERFECT!He's been sleeping in it for the past two days.I got the dishes done with two hands and I slept so much better last night without him in the bed (and the worry that goes with that).
Who ever designed this gate has no clue what to expect from a 1 year old child.This gate is all look and no function.It looks great when you install it but had no strenght to resist a 13 month old child from pushing it in the middle and almost breaking it.If you plan on buying this gate be prepared to do a little bit of drilling and bolting to make it work.I was finally able to use the thing only after I bought four #8-32 x 1 3/4" long screws with matching washers and nuts and bolted the middle of the gate together.I did this by unscrewing the original connection at the middle of the gate and overlapped the pieces together about 6" then drilling two holes about 4" apart on the top and bottom rails and bolting together. It works! But it's not what someone should have to do after spending thie price for something.Good luck!!!
Pros:This one goes together easily.It folds up very simply and pops right back into place for using.At 16 lbs. it rocks my daughter gently with two power options left for her growth.The seat is angled nicely so that she sits up enough to see the toy bar but reclines enough to fall asleep.The straps are engineered nicely to hold her in place.The buckle is simple, easy on the fingers, and has a nice cloth cover.The music is groovy, soothing, and just the right volume.It is lightweight.It is colorful and fun.
4 stars instead of 5 because I think this gate is ideal for pets (5 stars), but I believe it would have serious limitations for use with toddlers (3 stars). Frankly, I'd invest more bucks and get a more secure gate if this was being purchased to protect a child. That said, this gate was very quick to install, and we found that the latching mechanism was easy to work. Once unlatched, the super lightweight gate lifts up and out of eye hooks and swings open. Seems like an adventurous kid could climb this gate, but to keep our dogs from using the living room as their own private crash pad... it's been perfect. I love how this gate expands to accommodate a wide range of doorway sizes. So if you're looking for a cheap, versatile gate to restrict pet access, this is a terrific one.
My wife and I were deciding between a Fisher Price two-way swing or this two-way glider as our "tool" to help put our newborn to sleep when she's less than cooperative.In the end, we decided on this "glider" because of the ability to pick it up and move it around. Here are my thoughts: (1) at first, I thought it was more like a solid infant car seat with a motor attached beneath.It is not.It's just a hammock draped over a tubular metal frame--quite flimsy.But it gets the job done.(2) The arch from which the toys dangle is NOT a handle that you can use to move it; it's just a non-weight-bearing tube from which the toys dangle.To move it, you grab two handles at the ends of the seat. (3)The motor is much quieter than what I expected after reading some of the reviews here.Maybe in a very quiet room, the motor noise may be noticeable.But the "noise" is never annoying or intrusive, and it doesn't disturb baby.(4) The faster of the two movement speeds is probably about right; any much faster and baby's head would get jolted back and forth.The slow setting is very slow.(5)The seat is rotatable 360 degrees, so the back-and-forth movement is not just limited to 2 positions.(6) The music tends to be on slightly louder side even on the softer setting, but it's not a big deal.(7) As with all such seats, baby's back is slightly arched, and I'm not sure it's healthy for baby to sleep long term day in and day out in this posture.But for calming baby to put her to sleep, it's fine.
I just installed one of these gates and it was a snap.The gate comes with a template you tape up to show where to drill (you will want a power drill) so there's no measuring anxiety.If you have molding there are spacers to even out the hinges or brackets.In my case, I live in an old house with relatively non-square angels to just about everything.The spacers provided turned a potential disaster into five minutes of tinkering.
Very happy with this purchase.Very sturdy, high-quality construction.Gate closes nicely and tightly with a nice click reminiscent of the way a well designed car door thunks shut.Gate swings open either way, which is nice.Happy with the way the wall is protected with the cups that are provided.No problems after having been up the last few months.Would definitely buy again - we have two of them and are very pleased.
My son has been using this playmat since he was 2 months old. He is now 7 months and still reaches for it daily. He has learned to flip it over so he can reach the higher toys. I have yet to replace the batteries and everything still works great. The music plays for quite a while so you don'thave to keep running over to restart it. My son also loves the crinkle leaf and zebra tail on the mat itself. Since he has been rollling over, he can now chew on them and it is one more thing to keep him occupied! I highly recommend this line of products!
After researching all the swings out there, we decided to register for this one based on other parent reviews and online consumer reviews.First of all, this swing is safe and sturdy and will accomodate our son as he grows.Second - it is great for newborns since it will recline to a size-appropriate position. Third - it is attractive and has great sound for such a small box and plays a wide variety of sounds.It runs on batteries (I would not want a cord to an electric outlet for safety reasons anyway), but if you are a smart parent you'll invest in a good battery recharger, rechargeable batteries and a back up set for all the toys that run on batteries anyway.
We received this swing as a gift for our twins and two years later it's still in great condition and the best swing I've encountered.I was a bit surprised by the complaints in the other reviews - as far as the speeds go, it's not any different than the other dozens of swings I've had experience with (Day care, church nurseries).If you drape a blanket over a swing, it's probably going to slow down!I have the model before this, but I've loved it.
I wanted to review this for those who are trying to decide between the full-size and travel sized model.We have twins and purchased both.There is really no comparison between the two.Both babies love the large swing.It swings so much better than the smaller one.The seat vibrates and is a little roomier than the other as well.I should say that both of these swings are totally silent when in use; no annoying clicks or cracks like my first baby's swing.Four D batteries don't last longer than a week for us.But then again, it gets used at least once every day and sometimes at night as well.Still,for twins, the travel swing's price makes one of each a good option.I hardly ever need both babies swinging at the same time.
It's useful, but the swing is too slow. It would also be better if it had a recliner.
Product works great!Only concern is the noise it makes while swinging.It is slightly loud although it does help our baby fall asleep so I am not complaining!Highly recommended!
