I bought this when my second child was born. He was 9lbs 5ozs. This swing has lots to look at when they are small but by the time my son was 15lbs (3 months) the swing really didn't work very well. The speeds were super slow. I called Fisher Price and received a new motor under warranty but it did not help. It just isn't powerful enough for a larger/heavier baby. I purchased a different old fashion swing and it works GREAT.
